The Lake Tahoe Paddleboard Association (LTPA) was established in 2008 by a group of water sport enthusiasts living on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. The LTPA is a non-profit community organization, hosting four paddleboard and stand-up paddleboard race events during the summer and shoulder seasons on Lake Tahoe and Donner Lake. These events bring 2000 plus participants and spectators from across the United States and Hawaii, which stimulate all sectors of the local economy. Proceeds from the paddleboard events benefit non-motorized water sport recreation programs in the Tahoe-Truckee area.
We strive to
• Promote, support and provide paddleboarding activities on Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake and other high Sierra lakes.
• Educate the public about the environmental and health benefits of paddleboarding.
Business Sponsors:
• Will have direct exposure to an additional 2000 people from the paddleboard and stand-up paddleboard community that visit the Tahoe-Truckee area every year.
• Will be listed on the LTPA web site as paddleboard-friendly establishments that support the LTPA and offer discounts to local LTPA members and visitors participating in local paddleboard events.
• The LTPA is a volunteer organization with no paid employees. Business Sponsor fees help pay for insurance, advertising and event safety. Sponsor fee for the 2009 season is $100.
• The LTPA is a 501c7 non-profit corporation. All monetary and incentive discounts are tax deductible and much appreciated.
